My watch's battery finally died yesterday after two and a half long years of faithful service.

This has completely thrown me off today. I rely on my watch to tell me when I need to be places.

The upshot of this is that I'm going to be ridiculously early to everything today. I know this because when I do have a working watch - which is to say, I have constant access to the current time; there is no point in time at which I can not know what time it is, I am the anti-Heisenberg - I am always at least 5 minutes early for everything.

Why? Because I hate being late, and I hate when other people are late, so I always leave myself at least a 5 minute buffer to account for, say, being hit by a car.

I was a good 10 minutes early to my meeting this morning. I need to get this battery replaced ASAP, before I start showing up to meetings the day before they're scheduled.
