This morning I noticed that the bread I was using to make my sandwich did not contain any "trans fats". The packaging made a big deal of this.

In case you haven't been following the "who gives a crap" section of the news, "trans fats" are a special kind of fat used in Oreos.

I guess my point is that "trans fats" is a stupid freaking name. I hope they don't become the new nutritional fad, like "cholesterol" or "saturated fat", because it won't take me long to be really sick of hearing about them.

Speaking of stupid names, I also noticed that the new dorm here had a brand spanking new sign. "New House," proclaims the sign. Word on the street is than nobody has yet offered to pay enough money to name the dorm after themselves, or, you know, their pets.
