See, we perpetuate this stereotype that everyone has a lot of sex in college. That's where it all starts, I think.

Don't get me wrong - I'm fully aware that a lot of people do have a lot of sex in college.

So the thought process of the high school senior who's never successfully convinced a girl to tell him what time it was is, "Well, if everyone has a lot of sex, that must include me."

So, as Jenn says, you get all these guys who've never had a girlfriend before thinking that they're gonna get lucky on the first day of Orientation, and all of a sudden each girl is surrounded by a crowd of like eight loser guys.

Which is all well and good, no harm there really, once they figure out they're wrong.

Except for the stalkers, who never do.

(Around here, the term "stalker" generally just means someone who follows you around all the time. Not the scary kind who hide in your bushes and fold your underwear for you.)

This new girl in improv has managed to pick up a stalker, though I don't think she'd admitted it to herself until we pointed it out to her today.

But what could we do, really? It certainly wasn't our place to actually get involved, since she hadn't asked for help. And it's hard to tell someone that they need to be mean.

You can't always rescue people. Sometimes they need to rescue themselves.
