I don't know if I've mentioned this before (it turns out that I have), but my boss really loves holidays. She always comes in dressed appropriately for whatever holiday it is - green on St. Patrick's Day, always in costume on Halloween.

Yesterday, for Valentine's Day (the despising of which has become an annoying American pastime - but that's another entry), she was decked out in a pink shirt emblazoned with a heart and a red satin overshirt. (And jeans and sneakers. Usually she only celebrates from the waist up.)

Monday is my first Monday on this job, and yet I'm looking forward to it as nobody should look forward to a Monday. Why?

Because Monday is President's Day, and I'm hoping beyond hope that she'll come in wearing a top hat and a fake beard.
