I made my first (and probably only) foray into the world of filmmaking yesterday. I was filming a short commercial as a final project for a stupid class I'm taking.

She was in it. And him. And her boyfriend. Plus a couple of other people.

As I said, it was a short commercial - 6 shots total, each probably less than 10 seconds in the final cut (which we haven't started on yet, hehe...) Inasmuch as I had no experience with filmmaking, nor did either of my group members, I was anticipating a total disaster. I was sure it would take two hours, based on my experience recording music.

Man, we were done in like 15 minutes. It was great. I knew exactly what shots I wanted, I took maybe two minutes to set up each one, and we did a single take.

I felt like Alfred friggin' Hitchcock or something.
