I just had my final meeting with my undergraduate advisor. He made sure I had taken or was planning on taking all the courses I need to graduate, asked what I'm planning to take next semester, and then gave me a "going-away" present - a small brass pin bearing the school's logo, in a nifty little black velour pouch. It was a tearless goodbye. I've talked to him exactly 6 times - once for each semester after freshman year, and once to find out who to talk to about my HCI major. As for what comes next - well, I'm supposed to hear back about grad school in the next 24 hours. Every time I check my e-mail, my stomach does a little flip. It's not that I don't think I'll get in. That's not the point. I just don't have the hubris to completely discount the possibility that I might not. So it's a little nerve-wracking. Wish me luck.
