That was depressing.

Not that job fairs are ever fun anymore. This year they even posted guards at the doors to make sure that people who weren't students didn't try to get in to the crowded gymnasium so that over 100 companies could tell them, "We're not really hiring right now..."

Yeah, I heard that one a lot. Even worse was, "Yeah, what we do is right up your alley. We're located in Pao Alto."

Or "We're actually looking for civil engineers."

There's some hope. Two of the companies I talked to were mildly intrigued by me. Both are companies that aren't currently doing usability, but know that they should be.

So I have two, maybe three faint job prospects right now.

Wait for me, Lis. I'm joining the circus too.
