Jenn was checking out the Internet after dinner last night. I was surprised to find, after I finished washing the dishes, that she was looking at fox.com, an unusual site for her.

"Fox.com?" I asked. "What are you on there for?"

She immediately looked embarassed. "No reason."

I persisted. "I, um... was looking for porn. I thought fox.com might be a porn site."

I wasn't so easily fooled. Eventually it came out that she wanted to check when The OC was coming on. "Why do you want to know that?" I asked, dreading the obvious answer.

So we watched The OC, which apparently is "filling the void" left by 90210, that void being the guilty pleasure of a crappy Fox show. I say "we" because I had been playing Soul Calibur 2, and rather than try to find something else to do for an hour while the TV was in use, I gave the show a shot.

And though I did my best to play the part of the long-suffering boyfriend, I think I may have lost a little cred when, upon seeing Peter Gallagher playing a video game with that other guy, I piped up with, "Ooh! Dynasty Warriors!"
