It's not every day you get to see the inside of a drop ceiling. Unless you're, like, a contractor who does drop ceilings.

What's weird is that it's just like another part of the room up there. There are some big wires running to the lights and stuff, but otherwise it's just three feet of empty space. It could be like a midget's bedroom or something.

I guess I just don't see the point of the drop ceiling. It conceals a couple of wires, but is it worth the aesthetic benefit of not having mid-century style wire conduits along the ceiling if it means that each floor of the building has to be three feet taller, and that's all wasted space? For that matter, those tiles are pretty freaking ugly themselves, so even the aesthetic benefit is questionable.

To say nothing of how flimsy-looking the wires holding the whole thing up are.

Yeah, if you don't have a ladder in your office, your job isn't as fun as mine.
