As I got up to get off the bus this morning, I heard "Hey Gus!" from further up the bus.

It was a guy I know through Jenn. Let's call him "Christopher John".

"Hey Chris."

"On Friends last night, they 'jumped the shark'."

Blink. I'm doing fine Chris, how are you? I guess there was no time for pleasantries since my stop was coming up.

"Yeah, I was telling S. They jumped the shark. Did you see it?"

"No," I lied, because somehow I felt like it would get me out of that conversation seeming a little less crazy in front of a bus full of people.
